Note:
Here at last an undistorted, noise-free version that is not drenched in noise reduction, carefully restored from a true mint minus original. If you're reading this, you probably are aware of the frustrating re-release history of this landmark album. The mono and stereo masters were lost in the 70s, with no decent backup tapes existing and thus inferior source material has been used since for every reissue. While still a needledrop, this new version is probably the closest to what a tape sourced pro-master would have sounded like. It should be noted that the recording was not exactly state-of-the-art at the time, so the original vinyl sounds a bit tinny at times. I think I have found an acceptable balance between that original sound and a more contemporary fuller sound stage. But not like the Charly remaster which has the low-end pumped through the roof at times. Hope y'all like it and that it will give some comfort through these strange times.
