Prof sez:

Here's a slice of awesome proto-stonerrock. Transferred from a vintage copy that was kept sealed
in its plastic innerbag for 47 years until I opened it recently. Sundazed have done a
reissue of this mono mix, initially on LP in 2012 and later on CD as well. However, their master
was sourced from a noisy vinyl copy with patches from a folded stereo source to cover up
innergroove distortion. We must assume this means that the monauraul mastertapes were probably
thrown out to save some space.

That would be a terrible shame because the mono mix is far superior to the stereo version and
holds up much better to today's standards. It brings out all the raw power of the rhytmn section
and puts the guitar solo's on a more even level with the backing track, even though it is far
from a audiophile masterpiece.

Enjoy!
