Note:
The first 4 tracks were recorded at College of Commerce in Manchester 2 May 1969 while Tr. 05 is from the Mothers Club in Birmingham on 27 April 1969. Tr. 1,2,4 are the same versions as on the album but mixed differently and appearing unedited here. Tr. 5 appears on the album as a composit of the versions from both shows. Tr. 1+4 have the original un-overdubbed vocals here (although the spoken bit at the end of 4 seems overdubbed). Tr. 2 appears without vocals on the bootleg, so I have flown in the vocals from the album and also a few missing lines on Tr. 1. Tr. 5 should be considered a bonustrack since it has some serious audio flaws; the drumchannel was excessively compressed during mixdown which brings up all sorts of unwanted background noises.
The mixes as they appear on the bootleg are a bit rough, while some are better than others. I have attempted to elevate this to an excellent quality listening experience using demix technology. Still, this is more warts 'n all than the official album and not really meant to replace it, more like a worthy companion with the highlight being the elusive unreleased album outtake "Interstellar Overdrive" 1969-style*. We are fortunate that somebody managed to dug this thing up and leaked it to the public, even if only with lossy source ancenstry.
