EXECUTIVE ORDER 09

Section I: Definitions

(a) "Ike Dike" shall refer to the proposed coastal barrier intended to protect the Houston-Galveston region from hurricane-induced storm surge.

Section II: Repeal of Executive Order 08

(a) Executive Order 08 is hereby repealed. 

Section III: Construction and Early Planning of The Ike Dike

(a) The Department of Transportation of Sacagawea is hereby ordered to begin consultation and immediate planning with the Gulf Coast Community Protection Program.

(b) The Department of Transportation shall send an annual report to the Governor's office detailing the progress that has been made in this Executive Order.

(c) I formally request the General Assembly of the State of Sacagawea to allocate $1.85 Billion in order to promote construction and implementation of the Ike Dike.
